My name is Kaley, and I am currently working in Washington D.C. Living on a pretty tight budget in an expensive city has helped me to develop a resourceful and creative approach to how I spend my money. Over-spending is just not worth the guilt and stress (so I have learned), but I also find it necessary to set aside a small “splurge budget” every month. Mine typically goes to skin care products. I am really into finding and trying out products that are healthy for your skin and effective at drying, moisturizing, balancing, toning–whatever the current need happens to be. When my skin is glowing, I’m feeling good. And the opposite is also true–when I’m overtired and over-worked, my skin is splotchy and dry. When I’m rested and relaxed, my skin is actually a more vibrant shade. Paying attention to your skin can help you clue into other issues that might be going on in your body. After all, your skin is your largest body part, and is affected by not just the products you use but your lifestyle as well. The food you eat, exercise, and what you are exposed to every day all affect your skin. So, here is to finding skin products that work for your skin, your life, and your budget!
